Our Beneficiaries
The Dallas Stair Climb is first and foremost a memorial event to pay tribute to fallen first responders. Climbers are not required to do any fundraising to participate in this event.
If a climber chooses to do so, the Dallas 9/11 Memorial Stair Climb 2024 beneficiary is:
Fleetwood Memorial Foundation Fund
Celebrating its 50th anniversary this year, the Fleetwood Memorial Foundation Fund at North Texas Community Foundation provides financial assistance to first responders who have been injured in the line of duty, as well as to the families of those who have tragically fallen while serving our communities. Funds are intended to alleviate the immediate financial need and are dedicated to helping first responders and their families when they need it most—during the first eight weeks after an incident. Since its inception, the Fund has provided more than $6 million in support to first responders across the State of Texas.
During our registration process, climbers have the option to raise funds for our selected beneficiary. Climbers are encouraged to raise $1.00 per floor prior to the climb that is paid directly to the beneficiary they choose. Many climbers raise more than $110.

Together, we have raised over $450,000 for charities benefiting national and local first responders!

Following our climb, we ask that our beneficiaries send us a letter outlining the amount received from our event and what they have used or intend on using the funds for. Click on the beneficiary name under each year to view their letter.
